it is a remington 870 and I have to push up on the thing that goes up to put shells in then shuck?/rack? the pump with my finger still up there in the way if I don't want them to end up chambering. I guess I could just hold the button (whats this called?) that lets you slide the pump before you pull the trigger(the non ''sissy'' way of emptying)? I've only tried about three times and ended up doing it the chambering way 80% of each of those times.
heres another question. I dry fire it because I don't want to have it sit chambered but do not want to deal with that button to unlock the slide if I did have to get it ready fast, so how bad is it for the firing pin(is there one?) or anything else in there?
