He will be quietly asked to resign, given a good recommendation and will move on. He will not be allowed to practice at this facility ever again.

Maybe. No way to know though. There's a wide variation in the attitudes toward employed physicians by those larger health care corporations, and doctors are usually held to different rules than other employees or the general public regardless of what the employee Code of Conduct says - it will be interesting to see if he actually does keep his job (assuming he's actually employed by that hospital). If he does end up getting fired, I suspect that will make the news, or at least various websites, however, so time will tell.
