Browning BAR lightweight Stalker Reviews??

I came across a seemingly rare Browning BAR lightweight stalker in .308 (no iron sights, synthetic stock) for sale at a local shop and want more info before I buy.
Anyone who has one or knows someone with one would be great to get their opinions on the below points;

Is the gun reliable with various loads, especially slower hunting rounds (150 grain)?
Is the gun accurate? Its got a 20" pencil barrel.
Why are they discontinued and not catalogued by Browning?
Is this gun worth $600 used in great shape?
