It is a noun, being many things weapon related.
Or an electrical thingie.
A firearm/ it's ammunition - can (fail to) feed, eject, fire, ...misfire, etc.... it doesn't '
battery'
Please, let's not be part of the language's ruination by making every other noun a verb.
The only good language is a dead language.
Personally, I thought the post contained a typo.
It's a useful and common practice when using a common term multiple times to resort to an acronym.
Unfamiliar or uncommon acronyms and abbreviations initially use the abbreviated term to avoids precisely this type of confusion.
An example might be:
If I wanted to use the term '
See what I did there' multiple times in a post, the first usage might appear: 'See what I did there. (SWIDT)' to avoid any confusion.
