It seems perty heavy too. Even empty, can't imagine carring with what seven boolits?

I was thinkin the only probable way to carry is prolly a shoulder holster, and even that may be difficult to find for this particular gun. I layed her away, and plan for it to be under our Christmas Tree!

I got a Side Guard holster for mine. Works very well. As far as the weight, well steel and wood are heavy. Not any worse than carrying my 6" GP100.

I assume OWB double snap? I liked IWB DS for my glocks, but they were a tad bit sorter.......... ;)

Don't let me discourage you from gettin' 'er. She's a fine piece. If nothing else, looks good in the safe ;)
It is better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it.

Deputy, I plan on carrying it. I also plan on trying ;) to carry my SP101 as LH Crossdraw, as my setup right now. I don't even know it's there, and often forget, even sitting down................I've thought about talkin to Skrig's about makin a custom LH crossdraw for the Coonan, but, as long as it is, not sure as of yet. ;)

It'll wear a hole in your pants at the muzzle. Just keep that in mind.

I can see that happening with IWB, but, not OWB.

Yep, IWB - I carry a 4.25" 2011 daily, and carried a Commander 1911 before that. I've got one pair of pants with a hole, and I'm sure others aren't too far behind. Fortunately, mine comes out in the back pocket and remained covered the whole time. A 5" might not poke out in as good of location, and I'd put money it puts more stress against the pants (unless your butt is a lot bigger than mine). :)

I'm a lefty, and hope to find a decent cross draw. Similar to this!
