I've heard that if you load them to the MAX or even higher, that the 10mm is the best there is for hunting grizzly bears at close range from horseback.
Get a Ruger Redhawk or Super Blackhawk in 44Magnum and be happy with your deer hunting revolver. Perfect gun for the application in my experience.
