Overbore

The .17/50BMG has needed a big brother for a long time so today the .17/20mm was born. Can you say "overbore"?

I am often asked how they are made?

They are grown from hybrid seed. They begin life as a .25ACP and via genetic engineering become a .17 Bantam. With adequate fertilizer, the .17 Bantams eventually mature into adults.

205 grains of IMR4831 seems to produce the highest velocity but we won't know for sure until we find a chronograph that registers above 9999 fps.

I wonder how high the mythical Labradar goes? ;)

We tested the new round on a coyote at about 2/3 of it's maximum range. The coyote was feeding on a rabbit when the shot was fired. However, before the bullet arrived, the coyote finished eating and wandered away, causing a miss. We recommend shooting only at sleeping coyotes unless it's either caught in a trap or already dead.
Clearly they're going to have to work on maximizing velocity.

Man some people have such a great sense of humor. They think that you are kidding about the utility of the 20mm/17. Targets at distances of 22,000 yds. are easy as pie. Barrel length has to be 106 inches or greater and the rifling is only 1 in 205 to keep the bullets from exploding on barrel exit.

So, a decent optic would be a jr. astronomy telescope combined with google maps?
