Any modern shotgun will handle factory ammo lead or steel.

Just don't shove a 20ga into the chamber followed by a 12 and pull the trigger and you will be ok.

I've been hearing rumors that ruger is making the red label again. Can anyone confirm?

Ruger reintroduced the Red Label at the end of 2013.

Here is their pdf on the new model Red Label.

Then earlier this year they discontinued it yet again, citing costs.

MY FIL purchased one last year (26"), I had a chance to shoot it this July.
I really liked it, and was able to hit almost everything that came out of the trap thrower.

I'm not a shotgun expert by any means, but if you have the chance to shoot one go for it.

That's really too bad. It looked like a real nice option. Maybe I will look for a used one.

The red labels seemed to be loved by those that have them.

I've handled a number of them and found them to be heavier (like the Browning's) and them also seemed to be a little looser like the Stoegers.

From a market standpoint I don't think the product withdrawal really impacted the market much.

That said, they did go bang every time and the owners loved them.
