Good price on the threaded barrel Ruger American Rimfire. Was so tempted but my credit card is still smoking from last week.

Success!!!!! The Gun Watcher app paid off, although I have yet to see anything good from Buds Guns. I brought it up for about the 20th time today seeing as I'm waiting for my Grandson to be born in NOLA, and there is a NIB K2 SAR 45 for $379 from CDNN. I have got good deals from these people before, and THIS is the best I have heard of for this gun. Got the gun and 3 extra mags for $469!!! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Perseverance furthers! Great quest accomplished. Anticipating your review, critique and range report.

I just ran into this page while checking out something else...
http://www.slickguns.com/product/eaa-sar-k2-45acp-37999
$379.99 + $14.74 S&H
Maybe Sarsilmaz has new distribution now? The more sold the better the spare parts and aftermarket enhancements will be, so I'm pleased to see your success and more sources with great pricing! There's a gentleman selling K2 wood grips on Amazon.com. Last Saturday in the cold one of my panels broke, so I have an excuse to get them! Stocking stuffers...

The Slickguns site is interesting, particularly the colorful but nearly unintelligible price vs. time chart, and shows quite a few lesser or unknown sources for this gun. The interesting part is the fact that if you use stiffer springs, you can shoot 45 +P or the MUCH more powerful 45 Super ammo. A long time ago I resprung, magnaported, and buffered an EAA Wonderfinish 45 to 45 Super, and this was one gun people would back away from when I offered to let them shoot it. The muzzle flash and recoil were up there!! It would put a 185 grain bullet out the 4.4" barrel at 1260 FPS. :( :o  :? It never really was good for 230 grain bullets, and now I reserve 45 Super for my Springfield Longslide V-16, which can put a 230 grain bullet out the pipe at 1200 FPS, which is "factory" spec.

As I write this the gun is headed for Arnzen Arms, and it will arrive long before I do. My wife still has to play with our new grandson for a few weeks before I can pry her away. I'm looking forward to seeing how good the trigger on this thing is, as EAA's all tended to have a "hitch" in the trigger pull, and the guy at Bill's who could fix that is gone, I think. Got lotsa EAA springs lying around, and I may stiffen it up a bit just on general principle.

Question about Bud's gun prices

Postby ZardozCZ on Thu Dec 03, 2015 9:32 pm

The SAR K2 45 is not rated for +P from what I've seen Sam. Be cautious and RTFM.

Congrats on the new generation! Maybe someday you can pass the SAR on to your grandson as they're both coming into your life about the same time. Best wishes for health and happiness all around.

Yeah, but the SAR supposedly has a 13 pound spring, which is awfully light for 45, and I run 22# springs in all my Tanfoglios.

I'm beginning to wonder if a second set of "spare parts" would be a good thing... or would that be a backup? When it goes back up to $500, I'll be wishing I had. There goes the holiday shopping budget!
