Integrally suppressed Muzzle Loader?

Integrally suppressed Muzzle Loader?

Postby FJ540 on Sun Jan 10, 2016 2:49 pm

This is just a random thought that came to mind. I have not so much as fired a ML in my life, nor do I possess any ML stuffs. So kindly save the rants for someone else. ;)

Is a ML, not being a firearm under the GCA, under restrictions of the NFA in regards to the taxable use of a suppressor? BB guns aren't.

Just a thought. Curious if anyone else has had the same thought, and what conclusions you came to on the matter.

They'll just change their minds in a year anyway.

A primitive suppressed weapon would help my neighborly relations at my place for moonlight varmint shooting. It's also possibly a loophole in our stupid nightvision prohibition for coyotes.

Sure, I could form 1 a can now, but I have better uses of $200 than donating it to the federal government.

Lets see I have a thermal scope and I have a muzzleloader.... Never mind, pretty sure the law says anything capable of taking game is illegal.

Or, you could invest in an Airforce Texan air rifle and fit it with a "shroud". It's capable of taking large(deer sized) animals.

I just looked it up again - says taking wild animals. I guess that's their catch-all to prevent the game vs unprotected debate.

Sure wish Cornish hadn't sold us down the river on NV. :(

I'm not going to invest in a damn thing. I can build one.

That's pretty weak for deer but cool.
