So, basically, the police can search my name and pretty much know have guns in the house. Plus, if they are called to my address for even the most benign reason, anyone with a scanner knows there likely are weapons here.
I did a freedom of information request on incidents in my neighborhood and I determined through a process of elimination that my neighbor likely has a gun. I'm glad I know since there lots of alcohol and mental issue police visits there over the years.
At least the permit to carry is not every year and I don't know if the Sheriff dept creates a similar incident.
I consider this a backdoor registration.
GOCRA was looking into it on my behalf and I don't think the issue went anywhere.
