S&W SD/Sigma Upgrades

Postby TooFewGuns on Tue May 10, 2016 8:20 am

I was scrolling through Facebook this morning and saw that Apex Tactical Specialties had written a blog post about their triggers, springs, and LCI upgrades for the Sigma and SD models. The Sigma was one of my first pistols when they were first released. I traded it or sold it many years ago and the experience was enough to cause me to shy away form the SD/ SDVE (that, and I dislike two tone guns). Their feeling is that the primary issue with the S&W budget gun was the trigger, something that S&W has had complaints about with most of their striker fire guns. An upgraded trigger and spring would cost $60. Does anyone here have one of these guns or experience with Apex? I ordered a part for my M&P from them some time ago, but it was not a trigger.

I installed the spring kit in my SW9VE and like it. It helped the the trigger pull but once in a while I'll get a light strike but that could have been the primers I was using.
