I would like help identifying a black powder pistol

Postby straightpaths1 on Fri Jul 15, 2016 4:56 am

I recently purchased a 36 caliber black powder navy pistol. The barrel says made in Italy, but there isn't a name brand name on it, pietta, uberti, navy arms, etc. I took a picture of what looks like a manufacturers Mark on the bottom of the hand grip. It does have a mark of xx7, that I know was made in 1971. Does anyone know what this makers mark would be?

Hard to tell from the picture, but it kind of looks like the Beretta logo.

I'm fairly certain this was made by Mavi di Salvinelli, and probably imported by Euroarms. It's a fairly rare replica, although not especially valuable.
