Gotta say I'm seeing it on the shelves just about everywhere but Fleet Farm. Cabala's in Rogers had Winchester, Remington and CCI 100's plus 525 Golden Bullets along with some other misc brands / quantities. Gander in Rogers though not as well stocked had the CCI AR 300 packs, 50 packs CCI SV and 50 packs CCI Stingers. Additionally the online vendors seem to be advertising it as available quite frequently too.

It's starting to finally come back and be available. I picked up two 400 packs of Federal high velocity at Cabelas in Rogers last Sunday for $27.99 each. They also had CCI mini mag 100 packs for $9.99. Hopefully, in another couple of months everyone will be in stock and maybe the prices can drop a bit.

Thank you for making me laugh (considering this is an election year)

I'm pretty sure you MEANT to say, "Unfortunately, in a couple of months, the Hildebeast will be elected, everyone will go into 'panic buying mode', and prices will go through the stratosphere again."

That reminds me, I have to start buying stripped lowers. I figure 2-3 a month from now until the election will have me sitting pretty when she proposes outlawing sales of "assault weapons." I guess I should start buying "high capacity clips", too.

What's 5000 rounds of Blazer 22LR worth today's market?

Available, but overpriced.

Odd how it still must cost twice as much to produce .22 LR as it did 5 years ago...

Still haven't seen .22 LR just lying on a shelf in the past 3 years around here in Iowa. Overpriced or otherwise.

I understand your sarcasm. But along these lines...

Product pricing very seldom goes down after a demand spike unless there is a truly significant reduction in demand. Look at fuel surcharges on various types of trucking and deliveries. Put on when diesel prices topped $4/gal but were still there when it sunk to well under $2/gal and evened out to about $2 now. Look at the price of motor oil. Used to be 1.xx per quart, then went up to 3 or 4 bucks a quart as crude oil prices hit $140/barrel. Now that crude is back down to, what, $45/barrel the price of motor oil hasn't dropped at all. Don't expect ammo prices to drop back where they were unless we have some major decrease in demand.

The inelastic demand is what put us in this mess to begin with. (Agree with you)

It is also why varmints now die via a 240gr ball of .44 lead from a '94, instead of a .22 :)

Last week I was in Lakes Trading in Forest Lake doing a gun transfer and saw they had shelves full of .22 ammo. I did not think to look at their prices, but the variety seemed to be quite nice. Maybe someone else that goes in there can remember their pricing.

Mel's in Spicer has a great supply of 22 rimfire and all other ammo. Never been in there until this weekend but has a lot of inventory both in ammo and guns. Well worth a stop if you are in that area!

Cabela's $50.00 gift cards at Staples for $41.99, limit 3. Good for online and in store purchase. Another way to save a few $$$ on your next .22 ammo purchase at Cabela's. The offer expires on Aug 6.

Gander has Federal 525 Bulk Packs - 25 bucks, no limit. Use code GMT5 for some more off. 23 bucks after code applied.
