I'd do it over again in a heartbeat. Very easy shooting, accurate and with the trigger work it really is very nice(not 1911 nice) pull and reset.

Optics wise I have a number of Fastfires so for me it is my default, if your a Vortex guy or Leupold go with what you trust. I think that part is really personal choice.

I'm a "rifle" guy. Glass is good.

Although I did get an Aimpoint PRO for a 300BO AR pistol I built, and I like it. After putting an illuminated reticle 1-4x on an AR and trying it out, I am slowly coming around to the 21st century, and may even embrace technology someday.

Heck, I'm almost OK with Marines not qualifying with iron sights anymore in boot camp.

It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.
