Reloading set up

I saw on Brian Enos forum a topic where members were posting pictures of their reloading setups, rooms and or closets. With the son moving out soon I'm planning on setting up a reloading/ gun cleaning room and I'm looking for idea's.
Anybody interested in sharing pictures? Even if all you have is Black & Decker bench mate setup, we could all get idea's.

Mine is nothing special, I have a 550, shelving for accessories and books, a chest of drawers for components and a dillon 550 mounted to a nice, solid old kitchen table. Works great for me..... I can really crank out the plinking ammo, but have enough room to load the rifle stuff one at a time and not feel cramped. I have also left room for single stage press if I really feel the need for one in the future. All of this is stuck in a pretty tight area (my bedroom of all places) but the layout leaves me plenty of room to move around.

I just dumpster dived for a solid core fire rated door from the hospital where I work. The mother is so heavy! I think I can get the Dillion, 9000-G, Green Machine and 700 versaMec on it and still have room for RockChucker and bullet sizer. I am going for higher than average height off the floor and anchor it with steel ledge against block wall.

Mine has turned into a catchall and I would need to clean it before takeing picks or you wouldnt be able to see much thru the clutter, Maybe the pics would be a good reason to clean things up a bit.
Try to have twice as much space as you think you need.
Pull up the carpet and replace with tile, Its easier to hear where them little springs bounce
Determine if you want to stand or sit while reloading I prefer standing, If the bench is too low you end up bending over at the end of the down stroke and gets old real fast.
If you make the bench high enough to start you dont need strong mounts if useing the Dillon or others. If mounted high will a case feeder if you have one clear the ceiling? Mine is just barely enough room to dump empties in.
You cant have to much lighting well maybe but you can always turn some of it off.
Storage for reloading supplies, Reminds me one of the winter projects was to build shelves in closet ( need to clean it out first) starting to see a pattern here.

Rem700 has it right with the sitting verses standing thing. I decided to sit while reloading. So, I calculated the proper height so the press handle would start at shoulder height. This is with me sitting and my 550 on a strong mount.

I wanted a bench where I could stand as well. So, I have a low section of bench for sitting and a tall section of bench for standing.

My bench doesn't look very fancy. It's just plywood and 2x4s. But I could park a truck on the thing (maybe a compact truck).

I'm working on finishing my basement this winter. A Man Cave is in the works!

i agree with rem on this. i shall have my wife take some pics of y set up. it's nothing fancy but it does suffice. and then i'll see if i can post them here. i've not done that before. i'm fairly inept at most computer and net stuff. i hope to accomplish this today.

It is hard to describe my setup as anything special but it is highly modular. I have a 4 foot chunk of countertop bolted to a very sturdy 2x4 base. I put in threaded inserts into the countertop for mounting all of my stuff so when not in use I have a relatively clean work area for other projects.
I do have a separate storage space for the bullets, powder and primers. I only have the needed components out on the table at one time. If I switch powder, I make sure the first is cleaned up and put away before setting up with the next one.
I would take pictures but then you would see how messy the basement is…

Been reloading for shotgun off and on for about 30 years now. I have a Lee Load-all for shotshell duty (currently set up for 20 gauge, but will be getting a 12 gauge conversion kit for it). Still researching what I want to do as far as reloading for the 9, .40, 7-08, .308, .30-06, ...

Steer clear of lights that have transformers, keep them far away when weighing powder. The static will throw your scale off.

Thanks for the tip. Do they affect digital scales too?

ETA: I also have a halogen overhead light that I may use instead of the flourescent, so that may not be an issue.

Use the halogen so long as it doesn't require a transformer. And fyi Digital scales are even more sensitive to it.
