Now the rifle I'm thinking about putting together if it works is with Volquartsen parts, retail for the parts is somewhere in the $1,752.00 range. Insane I know, but the rifle............

You could buy a rifle capable of winning 3-position smallbore at the olympics for that much money.......

Bills North had a couple GSG-5Ls on the wall this afternoon. I didn't check if they were new builds with the riveted ejector from factory. (ATI is apparently accepting rifles with spot welded ejectors back to rivet them because of instances where earlier builds had ejector's welds letting loose). Surprisingly, the price was like elsewhere in town on these.

Check out these 22 carbines. I just ordered the Nordic Component reciever chassis and we are now a dealer for Volquartsen Custom. My plan now is to build one of these rifles out of Volquartsen 10/22 and JP Enterprises parts.

Here's mine next to my Stevens old school tactical .22.

I know the guys that make this 10/22 stock chassis and their theory is that the .22 uppers for AR's can be finicky so they decided to try this with a 10/22.
I used some parts I already had and for the rest I used a DPMS certificate that I received for ROing the Tri-Gun and also dropped in a Volquartzen hammer and bolt release.

Of course I had to buy another standard 10/22 to replace it. I think I see a pattern developing here.

Single shot Stevens has duct tape+Surefire G2 but has proven deadly on critters with subsonics around my property.

Don't know why it wouldn't fit in there. My Ruger receiver was a tight fit and shows some scratches from the Nordic unit but nothing visible with the chassis in place and I don't plan on removing it very often. That is one comlaint. There really isn't a good way to take it apart to clean it. You pretty much have to take the chassis off and then take the Ruger apart to clean it.
