As far as the shooting. Primary Marksmen Instructors (PMI) deal with teaching all people from all walks of life to learn to shoot. And they have to "unteach" people bad habits. Just pay attention and dont worry about it they know how and what to do. As long as you listen and do what they say you will do just fine.
I dont know anything about you but I would focus on running, push up's, and sit ups. You do a lot more of those than you do shooting. And remember no matter what you do it will be wrong and you will have to do it again. It is more mental than physical. and dont laugh at DI's. They dont like that.

You will probably graduate a 300 if you do a 280 now. Learn the basic history of the Corp's, General Orders, rank for USMC as well as Navy, and just blend in. I thought DI's were pretty funny, but only laughed once. What MOS are you looking at?
TANGOBRAVO13 wrote:hahaha okay. cause i tried that and i was seeing double or something it didnt seem right. does it just take some practice to get used to it?
TANGOBRAVO13 wrote:Infantry. im gonna do that for 4 years, get to know everything, then re enlist and try to get into Scout Sniper School or Recon. but well see how it goes haha.

There will be times that you will really want to, but as justaguy stated ...IF you do, you will only do it once....
that is why he still has a hard time laughing...
at least on the outside...Cheers justagrunt....
justaguy wrote:You are getting a little ahead of yourself. Finish your first enlistment and see where you are in life.
Unless they changed something you can try for Recon right out of School of Infantry (SOI). Which is a good time to try because you loose some discipline when you hit the fleet, and you are in pretty good shape. Like boot camp Indoc's are a lot of mental. You also need to be a strong swimmer and very comfortable in the water. On the weekends while you are in SOI dont spend all your time getting drunk in Oceanside and stay in shape and save some money.
It's up to you, but I wouldn't dick around doing the recruiting thing after boot camp. Get to SOI, and get things going.
