Extreme left is hard to win on the state level and I think would be harder on a national level. That’s why you see the real fruitcakes in the house.

It depends on the state and how ignorant the voters are. It will be interesting to see if a dem can go left enough that the base will give them the nomination and then try to run to a more moderate position for the election.

There definitely are blue states but as a whole the country still trends red at the state level.
