Odd looking range pick ups

Before moving to MN from GA I owned an Izmash built AK (with select fire aka: Go Button) and it never produced any brass that looked like that.

I also owned a HK-91 (also with the Go Button) and it really screwed up the brass, due to the way the chamber seemed to have what I call "flutes", for the lack of having a better term.

I had to sell them, due to my move up here and a pending divorce, in addition to MN not being as friendly as GA was toward guns with Full Auto capabilities. I wish I still owned them

Depends if it was chambered for domestic use or not in Russia.

Export only or military use doesn’t have to do that.

Miking the cases shows the chamber is oversized in the base of the neck, and normal thereafter.

I have shot lots of crimped blanks, and these are not blank cases.

My Romanian AK doesn’t do this, nor does my 7.62x39 AR or my SKS.

I buy it from the guys I heard it from, but certainly won’t argue that ALL US Saiga guns are this way- but apparently some are.

I agree it won’t be unsafe, but it doesn’t promote accuracy or brass life, if you reload.
