I have no issues, been a member since before Eagan opened. Other than being crowded on the weekends, I enjoy it.

Erud's nightmare situation aside, I am a member there. I've never had an issue with them and I prefer them to all the other indoor ranges I've been to except for the old Dakota Sport and Fitness range at the casino (which I think closed about 20 years ago). Initiation fee is steep, but ZERO range fees will cover that if you go enough.

Busy? Sometimes. The usual crowd of unsafe people you get flagged by at Bill's in Robbinsdale? Haven't run into that yet.

I've shot at the Eagan facility a number of times. Nice, clean facility that appears to be safely and efficiently run. As others have mentioned, monthly membership costs are somewhat higher than other local ranges (but you get what you pay for).

Some of you may know that they have a premium membership called the Caliber Club that requires both a monthly charge and an initiation fee. Caliber Club members get their own private shooting area, get to shoot all the rental guns for free, a storage locker and access to the club side of the facility. The club side has a small cigar lounge, non-alcoholic beverage bar and snacks. You have your own key card and private entrance as well. I get the impression that you can use it 24/7 if you like.

Yeah, Mike Reilly was an interesting person. If he represented himself as the owner, that's not true. It's my understanding that Mike is no longer with the company.

On that note, I've been a member since it opened and they've been good to me.

If you shoot 2+ times a month it's a great deal IMO, especially in the winter.

Granted, it takes me longer to load up the guns and ammo than it does to drive there, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

The range itself is fair to poor. If you like all the other fluff then I guess it might be worth it. But if you go just to shoot understand the air handling is strange, the draft pulls the smoke to the floor and through the shooters stall. You end up standing in a foot of smoke. The divider walls are rough sawed wood, the powder residue sticks to it like crazy and there is not really a way to clean it. Lastly they only have a few lanes so be prepared to wait.

So there's an even higher level of lead precipitate dust on the floor to track out of the room, as well clinging to pant legs and shoes....
