There’s Just One NRA A-Rated Democrat Left In Congress
The most endangered species in Washington, D.C. isn’t the panda bear. It’s a pro-Second Amendment Democratic congresscritter. The NRA’s Political Victory Fund has released its grades of candidates in the 2020 elections, and just one single, solitary Democratic member of Congress received an “A+” from the Second Amendment group. Minnesota Democrat Collin Petersen, who has represented the state’s 7th Congressional District since 1991, not only received the highest grade that the NRA offers, he also has the official endorsement of the organization.

That’s not surprising, given the NRA’s pro-incumbent policy, though the group did give Petersen’s Republican opponent, former Lt. Governor Michelle Fischbach, a slightly lower “A” grade as well.

I'm hoping we can retire him this year.

If he were the last Democrat in the Minnesota delegation I'd not be upset - if the GOP took the House majority.

I drove to Brainerd today, about 50 miles. I didn't see one Biden sign. Trump signs I didn't try to count, they are everywhere. I'm hopeful.

Driving around x-urban and beyond in MN and WIS, 'Fresh Eggs', and 'Honey' got biden by at least 10:1
Trump signs are too numerous to count.

In my St Paul neighborhood I've seen exactly one biden sign. My guess is my neighbors, like myself, don't want to test the worth of their fire insurance.

Insurance always has an exclusion for "civil unrest" and "war". Loose your stuff to riots and it's just gone, no insurance or replacement is coming.

Why? If he's A rated

Because I want to see the US House back in Republican hands.

Because the views of individual members hardly matter anymore. It's become the majority and minority leaders' show. They decide what makes it to the floor and what will be squashed. A vote for Peterson (A+ rating or not) is a proxy vote for Pelosi and her agenda.

Firearms are an orphan issue politically, because they're effectively libertarian. Most Dems are against them but a few still are liberals in the sense of wanting more freedom and fewer restrictions. The Pubs are the pro-gun party by default of simply not being actively against gun ownership, but other than opposing the Dems on a pure power politics basis they are lukewarm supporters of gun rights.

That does not bode very well for us then.

There are individual Republicans that are very pro-gun; but the party as a whole doesn't make it a priority. Think of how lackluster a friend of gun ownership Trump has been for example.

So what do you propose? Vote for Democrats?

I don't have a solution; it just sucks.
