Is it possible to buy a fully automatic gun from a private party? How do I proceed? I need a special license, is this correct? Is it worth the trouble?
If anyone can point me to the answers it's appreciated.

I'm curious my self, I think it's only $200.
The only thing holding me back from checking into it more is the fact that full-auto guns are so damned spendy. Once I get my kidney paid for I'll look into it.
The guns, as one would expect, vary greatly in cost depending on condition, history, desirability etc. To get a sense of cost, look at http://subguns.com and click on their classified ad section.macphisto wrote:The federal tax stamp is $200. The guns are upwards of $10k.

Is it possible? Yes.
Is it something you can afford? Probably not.
