Election will be fixed in 2028?

Trump tells supporters they won’t have to vote in the future: ‘It’ll be fixed!’

“Christians, get out and vote! Just this time – you won’t have to do it any more,” the Republican former president said on Friday night at a rally hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida, by the far-right advocacy group Turning Point Action.

“You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote any more, my beautiful Christians,” he said with a slight shake of his head and his right hand pressed against the left side of his chest.

He added: “I love you. Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”

Trump is trying to bring an end to our democratic republic. Not even the RNC wants this kind of thing, probably.

Video sauce.

This is just the latest in the Trump insanity. Remember his "dictator for a day" and his "termination of the Constitution" crap? What do the forum spin doctors have to say this time? When will the GOP nominate a potential winner? They can unbind their delegates, if they had the backbone.

A Trump presidency is a worrisome prospect; but so is Harris. I'm hoping Trump is elected and then within a few months becomes too mentally incompetent to hold office.

Calm down, Democrats: Trump did not tell Christians he’ll be a dictator
On Friday, Trump spoke to a Turning Point USA Faith Believers Summit (i.e., an Evangelical Christian group). In the last minutes of his speech, according to Democrats, he announced that, if elected, he’ll end all elections, becoming a dictator for life. Of course, if you listen to Trump, he said something quite different: He will work to end election fraud so that, going forward, all true votes in America will be counted and Republicans can win, even if, as is usually he case, 40% of potential Evangelical voters stay home.

[...]

Although the WaPo quotes Trump accurately, it does so using deception through omission. I went to the full speech to see what Trump had said in context.

What Trump said is that cheating is rampant in American elections. His goal, if elected, is to return to paper ballots and demand voter ID, all to ensure that real people, who are citizens, vote and that their votes are honestly counted. That’s not about ending elections and creating a dictatorship; that’s about ensuring honest elections, and not Kabuki theater with a pre-determined outcome that invariably favors Democrats. (So, you can see, of course, why Democrats are panicking.)

Montana Voting System Shut down After Kamala Harris Left off Ballot

https://www.newsweek.com/montana-voting ... wn-1957839
The state of Montana was forced to shut down its electronic absentee voter system after it went live on September 20, 2024, when a voter reported that there was no option to vote for Harris.

According to the Daily Inter Lake, Max Himsl, a Montana voter living in the UK reported the issue when trying to fill out his ballot online. He reported it right away to the Flathead County Election Department.

As a precaution, the Secretary of State's office, run by Republican Christi Jacobson, took down the Electronic Absentee System for troubleshooting, although they insisted that very few voters had been affected by this issue.

They also reassured voters that this issue was just on electronic absentee ballots which are for members of the armed forces living abroad, spouses or dependents of members of the armed forces living abroad, U.S. citizens living abroad, and, per the Montana Secretary of State's website: "Other individuals meeting definitions of "absent uniformed services voter" and "overseas voter" in Montana law."

This sucks. No matter who your favorite candidate is, the election needs to be fair.
