JD Vance is not who he seems.

He calls himself a hillbilly, but he wasn't.
He thought he was gay, but he wasn't?
He was a Never Trump guy, but now he isn't.
He said Trump was America's next Hitler, but not anymore.

Trump will not win in 2024, Vance will not be VP in 2024. Vance will probably keep on re-inventing himself until he has no where else to turn. The GOP needs to choose a winner this time instead of a proven two time loser of the popular vote.

So yours is a winner?

I've not seen a political candidate I actually liked since Jack Kemp.

If Harris wins, and the GOP does not own Congress, we can look forward to more gun control. Most likely another AWB or at least mag restrictions.

If Trump wins and the GOP takes Congress, we can look forward to zero progress on easing gun restrictions based upon what the GOP failed to do between 2017 and 2019. We can also look forward to more of Trump pushing for additional restrictions on us. Stuff like raising the age for buying certain firearms and red flag laws without due process.

The number of votes that would be gained by nominating a mainstream Republican is less than the number of votes that would be lost by alienating the MAGA Trump supporters. I've said this before: the Republicans tried, hard, to find an alternative to Trump— and couldn't. It sucks but Trump is still barely better than a Democrat who is prepared to lay the long-term groundwork for curtailing the RTK&BA.

This article from 2016 was talking about Trump v. Clinton but I think it's still topical:
I Can’t Stand Donald Trump. But I’m Voting for Him

Trump is also attempting to lay the long term foundation for curtailing our rights. His gun grab was just the first step. He wants to raise the age for purchasing semi-autos from 18 to 21. His red flag laws without due process, if enacted, can completely strip a person of any of their firearms without even going to court.

I don't see how Trump is anything but worse than anyone else. Even when democrats want a gun ban, it is done through the power of the executive branch or Congress. Not some "take the guns 1st, due process 2nd" insanity

Some interesting snips from that link;

It’s not even a predicable agenda, but Trump’s unpredictable agenda is better than Hillary’s predictable agenda.

I wonder what this Tom Giovanetti thinks about Trump's anti-gun agenda? How is Trump's anti-gun agenda better than anyone else's?

Watching all of this has been terribly painful. The Trump experience has caused lasting damage to the Republican coalition, and to personal and professional relationships. As a Christian I’ve been stunned to see so-called wise Christian leaders whore themselves to Donald Trump and reveal their true selves to all who can see.

It is rare to see a person admit that Trump is supported by whores who cloak themselves in religion.

Watch Hillary Clinton pack the Supreme Court and then tell me she was the best option.

Trump is a court packer. So far the only good thing about Trump's court packing is their reversal of his gun grab.

I've been following her on YouTube ever since she made the announcement that she was leaving the Democrat party. She could well be the only politician in existence today who actually has a conscience and believes what she says.

Impressive set of blinders you're wearing. How is it that you missed Trump's gun grab, push for gun confiscation without due process and his desire to raise the age to buy certain guns from 18 to 21?

Have any proof of trump’s gun grabbing? Links to articles?

What about the amendment to the CFR? https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-27/c ... B/part-478
The term “machine gun” includes a bump-stock-type device

ATF rule? https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR- ... -27763.pdf
‘‘bump fire’’ stocks, slide-fire devices, and devices with certain similar characteristics—are ‘‘machineguns’’

What were you doing in 2018?
