Bought in March 2023 started working with it in late April.
I have to be well over 6000 round by now, mostly Blazers.
Had a few failure to fire, wiped down the bolt very easy added a bit of lube and back at it.
When I first got the rifle the hand guard was not centered, shot well but not centered.
I contacted Tippmann and Greg got back to me,
"Normally when the handguard gets misaligned, it can be fixed by removing the set screws and re-tightening them evenly."
"We uses blue Loctite on those set screws."
"If you try this and cant get the handguard aligned, I will have to look into what parts need replaced to align properly."
There are 4 pointed set screws through the hand guard into the v-notch in the plastic barrel nut.
Did not take too long to get is centered and locktighted back down, now the sight are centered and look good.
I removed the flip up rear and put on a cheap A2 style cut handle that needed a home with Apertures .040/.052.
Front sight is bottomed out and it's zeroed for 200yds, working to get some dope for 300yds, then will see if I can put the front high enough to do 26yds
I like to shoot steel with my two Rem 597's one with irons I use from 25-200yds (LTR) and another with a scope for 200-300yds.
The M4-22 has a QD in front for the sling when prone/sitting/kneeling, still working on how much tension leads to how much shift at 200yds, possibly not more than a 4" up at full tension.
So my worries about the plastic barrel nut may not be an issue..., if I moved the front sight onto the barrel it would matter even less.
Any ideas on a barrel mounted front sight I should try that would use a standard square sight post?
The adventure continues. . . .
