Nonetheless, there seemed to be as many folks waiting for their FFL transfers on new purchases at the badge guy's table as at Hart's. Until buyers become smarter purchasers, we're going to be stuck with the ridiculous pricing some sellers get away with.

From what I observed, most of them were buying Hi-points.

I went.

Got a couple boxes of Buck Shot, another 9mm mag for my Hi-Power, a gun price guide and some cleaning supplies.

$15 for a ammo box was a little high.

Was it the short older guy whose gun tangled with the chair? :o :? :( :P

I went there yesterday and again today (different friends wanted to go and I figured for $5.00 I'd just go with both groups). I will say the smell of Hi-Points was strong in the air there. And I was laughing when I was the conceal carry badges because I remember talking to a police officer who said if he ever saw somebody pull one of those badges hour he'd haul them in for impersonating a police officer (not so much because he was a bad cop but because those badges are a bad idea).

But I ended up only getting a spotting scope while I was there. There weren't many guns I wanted at prices I was willing to pay. I had to laugh because one guy had an M1A at his table that looked like it was a standard G.I. model by Springfield Armory for $1,800.00. I recently ordered a Loaded M1A for $1,700.00 with a stainless steel barrel. Quite the price hike there.

The best part of the show for me was today. My friends an I were looking at some handguns while a group of mall ninjas were looking at a PS90. The sales women was talking with them while they fondled the gun. At one point she said "yeah it's a sniper rifle." At the point my friends an I burst into a fit of laughter (I almost fell to the ground) and had to leave the table because we were getting a really dirty look by the sales woman.

Overall it was a good show I will say but the market just isn't friendly for buying and getting deals.

The prices were very high. Every AR I saw needed a mortgage to take home. I also noticed the GSG price differences as well. I definately found out today that you need to do your homework before you go you because they will certainly take you to the cleaners. There were a few reasonably priced guns there but they were far and few between. I was surprised at the pistol prices, I didn't see an XD-M priced below $620 and most 1911s were high as well. It was a good time but not a place to go to buy a gun.

Mark K. had an XD-M for (correct me if I'm wrong) $549 at the show.

I spent a couple of hours there Sunday. It was my first...yeah no longer a virgin...

I didn't see anything that met my high standards: ungodly cheap but usable.

I just stuck with a small amount of ammo, a reference book, and some fondling.

 If I had seen that, I would have been tempted to pick one up as a spare! Great price!

I got some AR 30 rounders for 17 apiece and a nice little CZ27 with WWII proofmarks came home with me for 175.00. Now I just need some spare mags for the pistol.

Picked up a Sentinel .22 revolver for cheap on Saturday morning. It was my first show, I liked it a lot more than I even thought I would. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing ;)

I would have loved that one. You'll have to tell me who had it on Thursday.

I got a GREAT deal on some 7.62 x 25 ammo, and my son (who collect medals) got an excellent deal on an Air Medal from Ed Pohl. Some nice collectible guns there at average prices, but some of the other stuff left me shaking my head. A limited distributor edition 10/22 that I got in Winona two weeks ago for $285 was selling at one table for $399. Bill's price was $309, and I thought THAT was high!

I also got a decent deal on a couple of AR parts, so I was able to finish the lower for my AR57 and make it a complete rifle.
