tt3,
I’m not saying that Madrevar misbehaved; if he did he would not have been released on good terms with LEO. It sounds as if he did an excellent job of “dealing with the man”.

To clarify my stance: It’s not a matter of being legal to dress in summer clothes while carrying a gun in an ill-fitting holster in full view during a Minnesota winter, of course it is legal. But, society fears strange looking people with guns walking the streets; someone will call the police. The police will respond to a man with a gun and incident reports will be generated. It makes more sense to avoid negative interactions with LEO. If the gentleman were more appropriately dressed and wearing his sidearm in a nice holster then folks in the restaurant may not have taken notice at all, or at the least, felt less threatened.

This might fit the bill. But I don't know where the notion came from.

Ill-fitting? The holster is big and bulky. There are references to the size of the holster throughout the thread. Just because it came with the gun doesn’t mean it fits. There is even a photo showing a relatively small handgun and a large holster on the Madrevar’s hip. Read the thread, it comes up several times.

At least the duct tape holster is rated for 200mph. As pointed out on this forum I believe, they do have the nuclear grade stuff too. :geek:
