So did anybody get anything fun from the shooter's show? I went this morning and spent much more then I wanted to. I picked up an EOTech 557 for my AR. I was originally planning on putting a 512 on it since I don't really need NV compatibility but after the EOTech rep showed me the 557 I kinda liked the features and was pretty much upsold. My next plan is to get a 3x magnifier so I can use 400m, 500m and 600m dots a little more effectively.

about 44cents a round.....eeeeek. :o

Going there in about 30 minutes. At that cost, I am only open to 1 box of .45acp if I even see anything I want to try.
I may just go for the drawings and to lurk. ;)

Still cheaper than Gander at $27.99 for a 50rd box of Winchester White Box.

Bites really hard when a guy can reload his own .45acp for about 10 cents a round. I'd trust my own ammo more than some factory junk I've seen. oh well

The family and I stopped in this morning. It was too crowded for us, we snuck downstairs registered for the freebees and snuck back out. I save a lot of money bringing the family to those kinds of things.

I swung in just after 10:00 this morning. The joint was jumpin'! Wall to wall people. There were 4 guys on the phone to the state, calling in transfers, and the line was three deep in front of each guy. Just amazing, considering it was a Friday morning.

Burris had some interesting things. They had an ACOG-like sight for only around $200.

Springfield had a bunch of nice 1911's ;)

All in all, a pretty good show!

Just to clearify, I don't know what they will be charging for ammo. I am just bracing myself for the possibility it will higher than last fall's show... more likely it will be for sure.

I may only be trying a couple of them and limiting the rounds I fire in each as to stretch the box out a bit. :geek:

And just to clarify, our range 9mm is 13.95/box, not 18.00

Call it gouging if you want.. but in reality our margins are much, much tighter than they were last year. Everybody is paying a lot more bucks to make a bang :(

Just to clarify, this is xd9's quote dated 3/24/2009
This was posted before mine.

"Now I wonder if they will have enough ammo to sell for the demo guns? Maybe a 50rd box of 9mm for $18 :?: "

Please don't give me credit for the orginal $18. posting.

Kudos BTW to the good folks at Bill's for all their hard work and for bringing a first class show to Minnesota! ;)

Whoops sorry about that!

Thanks for stopping by everybody... and as I say every year, be sure to register to win one of the guns. The odds are surprisingly good and I'd like to see them go to a good home.

Stopped this afternoon... Busier than beavers but I got great service! They had all hands on deck and I was approached three times by staff.

They did a good job!

Hey Joe!

Are there any sales that you'd like to point out? Half-price on that Nighthawk I want? ;)
