Thank You to everyone for your insight and recommendations. As someone new to both forums and shooting this works excellent.

I don think you are comparing apples to apples. The Sig is a great gun for training and is very similar to a P226 only it is 90% of its size. the MKIII is a great little target gun, but is nothing like a full size semi auto that you would shoot. I have a Sig Mosquito and I love it. Shooting the Mosquito has really helped me shoot tighter groups with my full sized Semi Autos. I guess the bottom line is you cant go wrong with either gun it just depends on what you want to do with them.

Good luck!

I had a MKIII and gave it to my son-in-law. Great gun.
I wanted another one but didn't want to spend that much, so I bought the polymer 22/45.
I love it. Both shoot great.

I agree with Vman. If you want to plink and train, get the Sig.

I have the Mosquito and it has given me exactly 0 problems. No mis-feeds or FTE. I have only run CCI mini-mags through it. And have shot about 700 rounds through it so far. It groups nicely at 25 - 30 feet.

I think it is just fine. But I can't say vs. the other options, since I have never shot them.

I have the Mosquito, also. Even though they recommend only mini-mags, I shoot CCI Blazer in mine. The only issue I've had is that last weekend, I had three FTFs. Interesting thing, in all three instances the cartridge was the last in the magazine, and they ejected along with the spent shell. They just popped up and out of the gun. If I could have predicted when it was going to happen, I probably could have caught them before they hit the ground.
