The inflation seems to be on the retailer end, not the manufacturer. I just purchased 1000 Large Pistol Primers for the same price (and at the same shop) I paid before the crazyness.
That directed at me? Or Sigp240?
For your first question, I think we both know the likeliehood of that happening. So I'll take that at face value.
Otherwise, yes I was just referring to the gouging retailers, not necessarily all of them. Gunstop for example has been fair from the beginning. I mean the shops selling for $10-20 per 1000 over and above places like the Gunstop. Or the guys sitting at the Gunshows who mark them up even more than that. However, if Sigp240's neighbor's claim is true. Then maybe the manufacturers are getting wise on the upcoming influx (no doubt there will be an influx of primers at some point) of primers.
Happens everywhere. Last fall most Farmers had amazing yields and prices. Ask them how much their seed and fertilizer cost this year. Profits make their way back to the manufacturer eventually.
Granted, we should keep things in perspective somewhat. An extra $15 for 1000 primers, doesn't add all that much to the per round cost. Just rubs me wrong when a product costs $40 and it should cost $25. If other people don't have a problem with that then that is good for them. Meanwhile, I'll shop at the good places or not at all. But that is beside the point. My gripe is just academic.
