Headin' down from the north metro if anyone needs a ride.
If you are going to walk on thin ice, you might as well dance.

i'll be ready for the beatin'... givin' or taken' it's not always a bad thing. i'm sure there will be a laugh or two to be had.

i discovered today that the $10 range fee is no problem - it's the $80 i had to shell out to keep the better half busy all day.

the price of the shooting sports is definitely on the rise! :D :D
i do what i can, where i'm needed, and i ask so little in return. i'm a true humanitarian fueled by rainbows and whiskey. you should be so lucky to know me...

Ok, rant mode is engaged:

SERIOUSLY, who the hell goes to a BABY shower and doesn't bring THEIR BABY?!?!?!?!?!

Maybe I am too much of a guy, but, when I look at the calender on the fridge and see 10am-4pm blocked out as a baby shower by my wife, I didn't quite think that it meant my sorry ass would be playing Daddy-freaking-daycare while wifey went to the shower sans baby.

[/rant off]

OK, I just found this information out, and I need a beer, but I also happen to be on-call until 7am. God help any punks who try to mug me on the Greenway tomorrow morning on my way to work......

Ok, I posted this in another thread about this.

What is a Steel Shoot? Can I come if I am not very good? Should I come if I'm not very good. :) What does it entail. Is it open to all? Do I need to be a member of any sort of club to get into it. What calibers, etc.

Let the new members or others interested know what it's all about. Especially me. :) I want to get involved with our local group here; be it political, fun, or any other combo.

Sorry as I am fairly new to all these leagues, fun shoots, etc.

What is a Steel Shoot?
shooting at steel
Can I come if I am not very good?
Yes I like company at the bottom
Should I come if I'm not very good. :)
see above
What does it entail
having fun at the expense of some of the other shooters
Is it open to all?
I don't think they have turned anyone away yet
Do I need to be a member of any sort of club to get into it.
just this one
What calibers, etc.
9mm, 40 and 45acp have been the main calibers
I want to get involved with our local group here
your doing a good job

Main thing is to be safe and have fun. bring drink, food, sun screen, bug spray, chair and strong back because new guys have to carry the steel while we watch.

They have four stages of steel plates with four strings of fire per stage on five plates each string. If that's not clear just bring the above stuff plus gun and bullets, then watch the first people shoot and then it becomes clear.

I'm only 28. I am going to that GRG and hopefully if everything works out... The steel shoot.

I have a feeling that I am going to show up to both and I'm gonna be the only guy under 30 there... :)

Anybody my age going. :D
