New Taurus Slim Line Pistols

Postby Paul on Tue Jul 07, 2009 10:37 pm

I came across these today. Apparently new for 2009... Taurus 9 and .380 slim line pistols in single stack configuration. Not a ton of info on the website, but here it is. I could not find any widths listed, so who knows.

Reviewers are saying just shy of one inch in width. As in a few hundredths, from what I'm seeing.
Back to being just a guy.
No, not that guy. Or that other one either.

No... I wouldn't give up carrying my Glock 27 for one of these either... Just thought it was interesting that they came out with it.

Taurus makes far too many models of guns for their own good. They should focus on improving the quality and efficiency of their existing lines.

I have never considered buying a Taurus, I have shot a couple of 24/7 models that people have owned and was not impressed.

Last night I had the opportunity to shoot a Taurus 1911 and was happy enough with the fit/finish/accuracy/function for what it was.

We have these in stock. Nice gun, although the grips are just too short for my liking. Just slightly larger than a Kel-Tec PF-9

i carried a pt-140pro for a couple of years. never a single hiccup. my wife ended up getting taking it for her carry piece and i bought a s&w m&p .40 to replace it. i had the consistent mag drop problem. took over 4 months of messing with it and with s&w until i finally got it fixed. my/our daughters liked momma's pt-140 so much they both wanted one when they took their c class and got their permits. neither has had a problem with their's, albeit, they do not do as much shooting as i.
imho too many downplay taurus today. this may come from an earned past reputation but i believe that has longed been outdated. i wouldn't hesitate in considering another. not in the market, mind you, but i wouldn't automatically nix them. same with a new s&w, even with the problem i had with my last purchase.
an open mind is a terrible thing to waste.

The price is not out of line when compared to the LCP and others.

The 380 is a different model .. the TCP. We haven't seen any of those yet

I'm holding out for the Microtech Archangel due this winter:
