I work out of my home. I live in the 4th of minneapolis. As I look out the back door from this computer there is a house in the way, or else I could see where #6 this year Died. About 300 feet. I have one Employee, part time now. He shot 7th internationally a couple of years back, single shot handgun. I paid for his training, he paid for the permit. Andrew was inpressed with his "Group". I am the boss and require him to carry. The only reason he didn't have a permit was he didn't need one where he lives, quiet and peacefull neighborhood, high Traffic. I carry 100% of the time at home. I also do service calls. I always leave the house packing, but depending on where I am going, I will sometimes lock the firearm in the glovebox. If we use a vechicle without a locking box, we have a small case which locks, though it is not secured to the vechicle. Some businesses where I go are posted, I know the people there and they say "You can carry, we don't care". Others I just remove it and say nothing. I have never been in a "Factory" where I was anything less that "Condition Green". As I travel, say Red Wing, I feel there is little need there. When I go (very rare) to the local "Quickie Mart" I always have my Condition orange or yellow. Though there are no bodies there, there have been shootings in front of the store and down the block.
I have observed that the first half of the month is more quiet than the last half, seems the drugs and money run out. There is a "Full Moon" factor too. The first half of the month it may be a 380 or 9MM second half of the month, 45ACP.
"Don't leave home without it". A simple and reliable statement. If I'm Dressed, I'm Armed at home.
