Total Newbie From Blaine

Postby tleevs on Sun Jul 19, 2009 8:44 pm

Hello everyone! My name is Travis and I live in Blaine. I bought my first handgun last week - a Sig P226 9mm. Coincidentally, it was the first gun I have ever shot in my life. I had the pleasure of shooting it during my handgun basic's course I took at Bill's North. It was so comfortable in my hand and I shot it so well that I had to have one! My next purchase will be a revolver - probably a S&W 686 6". I don't know what took me so long to get into this hobby! I'm 37 years old and wish I would have started this journey about 15 years ago. Oh well...never too old to start I guess...

Travis

P.S. I have some questions about shooting ranges in regards to rules and general protocol. Where would be the best place to ask these questions in this forum?

Welcome to the board! It's a fun hobby, and a pretty good group of people here on the board.

It would probably be fine to ask your question here, or in the general gun chat forum.

Welcome to the madness.. Most of the guys here are great. I agree with user 842, you should be safe asking whatever you want in the general chat area. If it is more specific a queastion there may be another category that would be better. Anyway, enjoy the hobby that is for some of us, a way of life.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I'll post my questions in the general chat area then. I look forward to getting more involved in this hobby. I just bought my first gun and I'm already addicted. This could get very expensive!!
