If I can't find what I am looking for at the gun show, I will go online and see what I can get. Have many of you bought online, who would you recommend using as a local (North Metro) FFL to send the gun to, things like that.

Any info would be helpful.

Any one have problems I should be aware of?

Buy from a well know dealer, use a credit card, know what you're buying, use a trusted gun shop as your agent.
I spent over 1200.00 for a Benelli target pistol from Larry's of Maine with complete confidence.
Graf & Sons, Bud's, Davidsons, Larrys to name a few.

2 handguns from Buds. Would definitely do it again.

List of FFL's with prices they charge.

I've bought a rem 700 off of gunbroker before, no issues, I bought it from a dealer.

You should post what your looking for, maybe someone here knows of a place to find it.

Same here. I had mine shipped to Burnsville Pistol Range who charged me $20 total for the transfers. Extremely painless experience.

For purchasing online, I am another happy Bud's customer. Also, Collectors Firearms out of Texas.

As for local FFL's, I found Joe's Sporting Goods (Little Canada) to be professional and efficient, if on the expensive side. Al's Gun Shop (Gem Lake) was cheaper, but he seems to be getting huffy about transfers from the internet. My intent was, next time, to try DKMags, in New Brighton.

They're price gougers. I wouldn't give them any business.

Dunno about a North Metro FFL. I have all my stuff sent to Gunstop. I have bought stuff off of gunbroker.com, and you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to know the gun you're bidding on inside and out. You can ask questions of the people who sell it if you have any questions, but you still need to know A LOT about the gun up front. And they say it right on the website: Caveat Emptor!!

Bought my GP100 online from Trinity Arms (in Michigan -- there's at least one other), from a classified ad on rugerforum.com. Had it shipped to Streicher's, who charged me $15 as I recall; this was two years ago. Very happy with Trinity, Streicher's, and the gun. It's needed some touch-ups but for $320 I'm more than satisfied. It's beat a few of you guys at the steel matches! ;)

I've used both Boone's Fine Guns (Isle) and Prince's Guns (Milaca). Both only charge $25, and their service is excellent. They are glad to get your business.

Bill's is closer for a lot of folks, and their service has always been excellent. But $50 is $50...

Well, excuse me!

Last time I checked, BFE is east of Mille Lacs County...
