Pythons are getting more expensive every day since Colt doesn't make them anymore.
I've got a 6 inch Python I bought new in the early '80's. It's electroless nickel which they only made for a short time before going to stainless. I've only put about 500-600 rounds through it. It still looks like new and I have the original box and paperwork. It's one of the rarer ones because of the finish.
I like to shoot my guns but the Python has become a safe queen because of it's value. I've been thinking about trading or selling it but it's so pretty I keep putting it off. I'd probably trade it for a really nice 1911 but nothing like that has come along.
$1600 seems a little steep unless it's LNIB with no turn ring.
