I agree, which is why the woman is currently trying out ways to manage something with more pop, that she can wear safely, and with utmost discretion. Remember, she is making good money, has worked her way up for a long time, does not want to change jobs, but exposure would get her fired in an instant.

Has she thought about smartcarry or thunderwear?

It's about as discreet as you could ask for.

My friend is smaller in the hips and larger on top, smart carry does not work with the clothes she wears, it bulges up when she sits down.

Her method now is basically a holster that snaps to the V of the bra. She has enough "hang" on her blouses to completely hide that. (frankly if she wore baggy enough shirts she could hide a Ma Deuce, but I digress) She wants to appear classy and business professional, which means she does not hide nor attenuate her bust any more than she does.

This is indeed a difficult carry situation, particularly if purses get searched on the way into whatever workplace she is at. Hanging the BUG off the bra sounds about as good a solution as you can come up with, but the added weight is probably uncomfortable. About the only other thing I can think of is stashing the gun on the BACK of a file drawer where even searching the drawer itself would show up nothing. This of course, is assuming she's NOT carrying because of co-workers, and I'm going to assume that's the case. I'm sure there would be some method of doing this in your normal office or cube, and in addition I know a lot of women keep their purses locked up because of potential theft in the workplace, so that would be another layer of security that could be added to the situation.

She works in a law office, her biggest fear is in fact the travel time on public transit, as as soon she is inside the building, they are fairly secure, her stop is less than a block from her building door. Her second biggest fear is the looney who either sees them as bungling a case, or transferring blame to the law office over some perceived injustice. (they do a fair amount of personal injury and class action stuff) When I discussed purse carry, she just said there was no way, as they are routinely examined. I believe that they lost a multi million dollar case because someone inside was tipping the opposition with information and that has made them very security conscious, to the point of dumping out purses etc on a random basis and looking for flash drives etc. I asked her about body pat downs, and she said that happens, but no one has gotten willing to get that close to her "twins" and she is pretty sure they won't. So far she does feel comfortable with the derringer where it is, says she does not have worry about it as far as concealing nor as far as weight.

She does wish that the Law regarding carry was amended to force employers to respect the permit.

Do you have more information on that? My wife is in a similar situation and was thinking of a similar solution, if something is out there already we don't have to design and implement. Though the modeling is fun...

THis is something similar by another guy, but the gun they are showing is a PPK and thats much bigger than what she has.

Ok, back on topic, I was in Bills South this morning and saw a couple nifty little critters next to the Kel-Tech .32, one with a pink handle that I thought my wife would laugh, I mean, like to own.
Has anyone been in there and know what I'm talking about? It was tiny, and there was a pink handled one and a "normal" handle one. Were they Derringers?
