I've been rolling over the idea for an SBR.
I need inspiration and, need to know what I have to do.
But, inspiration first. I keep thinking about a super short AR. maybe 7.5"

Just out of curiosity, what is the attraction? People seem to get all excited about these things and I can't figure out why.

Solely exclusivity. "I'm ******* hardcore because I did a ton of paperwork and paid $ to cut my AK velocity to 1500fps!"
I'm not at home. I am at work, as I am every Saturday. Keeps me out of suspicious sexy parties.Bessy wrote:This is exactly why you sit alone at home on Saturday posting on mn gun talk, Instead of being invited to one my sexy parties.
Question away. That doesn't do a whole lot for me.Bessy wrote:If you still need an explanation on why you would want something like this Horeseradish, then I question both your manhood, and you sexual orientation.

+1
If you have a SBR good for you, I just find it really wasteful giving the ATF $200 so you can get rid of a bit of barrel. That $200 could be spend on a lot of other cool stuff instead of a tax stamp. On the other side of things I wonder if those who pay for machine guns, etc, would fight against legislation permitting regular citizens to buy them tax free since they have thousands if not millions invested in overpriced inflated firearms. Kinda like those who had "pre-ban" rifles/mags during the AWB but on a much more inflated scale.
Doubt you'll see the NRA suing the ATF about taxing firearms.

Would that even be possible? I'd love to have a suppressor but my understanding is the DNR is worried people will poach deer.
