I think you will be able to carry in WI with a MN permit. I don't have it front of me right now. I really should be working.

Wisconsin according to the new law (Wi 2001 Act 35 as it is now known as) will recognize any state permit that provides for a background check similar to Wisconsin's background check. So we should be OK and so should Utah permits etc.

The WI DOJ is mandated to promulgate a list after the law takes effect (Nov. 1 it looks like). So sometime after that, we'll have a list. I've talked with the DOJ and they don't sound like there will be any problem recognizing our permits, but they worry that we won't recognize theirs.

Not unless the BCA puts them on the list. That's the lawyer over there that creates the list. I forget his name right now.

Last time it was Scott Wiggins, ESQ who was at one time in Pawlenty's office. He was not a lawyer. I can't recall at the moment who it is in the current administration. Absent the shooting range component and given the accepted training or experience, I don't see MN accepting WI without some political maneuvering.

WI permit requirements remind me of FL and we don't accept them. If they mandated training and required a shooting test maybe.

I wonder why anyone would use the "ESQ" suffix if they didn't practice law. :?

Does that prohibition apply to my car or the employer’s parking lot?
No. An employer may not prohibit a person with a CCW license, as a condition of employment, from carrying a concealed weapon, a particular type of concealed weapon, or ammunition or from storing a weapon, a particular type of weapon, or ammunition in the licensee‘s own motor vehicle, regardless of whether the motor vehicle is used in the
