On a full magazine with one in the pipe, if the slide is gently pushed out of battery a quarter inch or so (for example hastily holstered etc.), there is a good posibility of the slide staying out of battery rending the firearm incapable of firing until the slide is reset. The spring doesn't have the power to overcome the resistance of the round in the extractor passing the subsequent round in the magazine. This has been an issue in every examply I have seen, and seems to be an inherent design flaw.
This is not a big deal however, unless for some reason you need to use the gun in a hurry.![]()
If you take care to make sure the slide is FULLY in battery (minimal effort) I've seen the LCP to be a very reliable gun. That issue, however, prevents me from carrying one [anymore]..... although I have owned a few of them.
