I ended up giving my opinion to a customer who was obviously searching for good advice about a handgun for him and his wife. I'm sure its all new for the staff too so hopefully their knowledge of handguns grows with their inventory.

I guess I feel that if a service is offered it should be handled properly. I'm no expert but when the counter person heard a couple of my responses to the customer he kinda shut up and stood back to watch. Maybe he really did handle it properly then? I don't think he liked hearing me tell the customer to try before he purchased. Although I did say that I love Fleet Farm and their prices were in line with other retailers.

I talked to the owners last week and was told they are adding several more lines, and a lot more gun stuff by this fall. They are also opening an indoor shooting range directly south of the Baxter store in the old Paul Bunyan bowling alley building. Should be ready to shoot by fall also.
