You can't go wrong with any kind of a Buckmark, or Ruger Mark II or Mark III.
I own both and both are spot on at 25 yds, and will shoot anything that you put into it.
My experiences with the .22 1911's are that they aren't nearly as accurate or made as well as the Buckmark or Rugers.
I own several Sig P220s and P226s and love them. However, the Sig Mosquito, and I have shot many, are well below Sig quality as far as I'm concerned. I had a chance to buy one for next to nothing from one of my shooters several years ago, and passed on it.
I also have owned for many years the S&W model 617 Revolver which has been called the finest .22 revolver ever made, and I will agree with that, but the price is around $850.00
The Model 41 is top of the line and very expensive but the best. I have shot many, but shoot my modified Mark II Target Competition as well as the '41.
S&W also makes a .22 semi auto that is in the $250.00 range that some of my shooters use, and believe me, this gun functions and shoots as well as a much more expensive guns. I can't remember the model number, but if funds are a problem, I would jump all over this one.
Hope this helps,
Eric
