Where in the original post is there any mention of gay marriage. If, perhaps, you mean "lifestyle tolerant", it is only what you read into it filtered through your view of the world. Do what you want, don't expect me to endorse it, and don't hurt anybody else. This applies to all things.

As if we can't understand your sekrit code words...
To the two forum members who have used lines from my posts as their signatures, can't you quote Jesse Ventura or some other great Minnesotan instead of stealing mine? - LePetomane

I guess I can't read either then, because I don't see what you are talking about in the OP. The OP was about the anti's and their true intentions.

"We know what you mean" is an excellent way to shut down the opposition merely by depriving them of the opportunity to use common phrases to explain their position. I don't hear the term "states rights" much anymore in regard to gun rights. It is, however, a very important part of the issue. The term has been perverted by the left to be code words for racism.

You will find as you pass through life that very few of us care very much about anyone's sexual persuasion. Its funny that you assume I am heterosexual.

Can we now return to important matters of the Second Amendment?

"Lifestyle tolerant leftists" seemed to be a dog whistle to democratic support of the LGBT community. I have to agree with the poster that I just want to be left alone, as long as I'm not harming anyone else. That includes registering my firearms or jumping through unnecessary ID hoops to vote. I don't cotton my wife having to have something shoved inside her against her will as part of seeking some sort of medical treatment. I don't imagine anyone here would like to have a probe shoved up their backside as part of buying a gun. Stay out of my bedroom AND my gun safe, and don't make me kowtow to some invisible dude in the sky as part of being a citizen.

I can read just fine, Mr. (or Mrs.) Holland & Holland. Maybe the mention of gay marriage exists in your vivid imagination but it isn't in the original post. And before labeling someone as illiterate you would do well to invest in a spell check. It's spelled conservative, not "conservitive" as per your post. Maybe you need to educate yourself.
Donald Trump got more fat women moving in one day than Michelle Obama did in eight years.

I never labeled you as illiterate. You did that quite on your own. As to my spelling, sorry though it must have been adequet as you managed to understand it. I would invest in spellcheck if it was available as an option on this site however I think we are just picking at nits and nats now are we not? If that is what makes you feel good is to try to win your arguement by picking on spelling on the internet then good luck with that as I do not see how that does anything for your arguement.

Is someone going to answer my question? Or are we all going to just pertend it did not happen?

Not reading and understanding seems common around here. Sad to say.

Liberty minded folks have the disadvantage of being architects attempting to build/rebuild a free society as they imagine it should be. Whereas the forces of tyranny have the advantage of being the demolition team. It doesn't really matter where they place their charges o swing the wrecking ball or demolish with a bulldozer. If they do it enough times, in enough places, it's going to bring the building down.

There lay the nearly impossible task before us, of gathering all of the architects together in relative cohesion. Coherence may be too much to ask for.

And who is the tyrant? That is the real question here. Seems like I have allot of people on "my side" who want to control me just as much as those on the other side.

Truth is, we are all tyrants to one degree or another. It's human nature.
However a tyrant's tyranny is altogether ineffective if the lack the power to control. So, as I see the best way to combat tyranny is to fight it when you see it, but focus on the those who have the greatest means of effecting their tyranny at any given point in time.

But the ultimate defense against tyranny is to win the hearts and minds of the people. It's hard to blame people for not being able to spot tyranny because they've never understood liberty. A person who understands true liberty can spot tyranny a mile away or inside.
People still believe we live in free country.
