AR's going for $1,000 and up is normal, unless you're after a budget build or an inexpensive optics ready carbine. Even dealer cost on basic AR's before the panic was $8-$900.
Prices on gunbroker seem to be calming a bit, I think the end is somewhat near.

Likely because credit cards are getting max'd out and panic hoarders can't afford to buy anything more.
I'll agree the end is near when ammunition can start being found in stores.

Let's put it this way I spent 500 bucks for my complete LE6920 upper off m4carbine.
I have people offering me complete rifles plus cash for it.
If I did want to sell it I could list it for a $1000 with 200 Rounds down the pipe and someone would buy it. But I guess people don't realize some Walmart do get a steady stock of them and sell them for around that same price.
