$50 for a 500 pack of Federal .22, I can do better on Armslist.
More guns that coins? Table with guns...yes. Count...no. There were boxes and boxes of coins. But probably at least 10 different vendors with coins, and likely more. Several with sportscards too.
More modern day guns? Compared to other shows I attend, hell no. Only 4 vendors that I saw with quantities of new handguns, and about the same with new long guns. Some used stuff of recent manufacture. I would say that about 60-70% of the few guns that were there were older, collector type stuff.
More gun accessories? Not much. TONS of knife vendors, and a few ammo vendors. But only a couple tables of bags/cases, one new holster seller, and a couple tables with slings, and a few with a few scopes (mostly used). VERY few mags, and no mag vendor that had tables full of them like at the shows in the cities.
More gun supplies? I didn't see any powder, any primers, and just one vendor of bullets, which looked like home-made lead ball.
No to insult anyone, that is not my intention. But I thought the show was largely terrible. I saw one table full of roadkill pheasants and animal skulls. One table of embroidered kitchen towels. One vendor with three or four tables of jewelry. One vendor had almost a whole hallway of collectibles and antiques...none gun related. Old plates, lamps, glassware, spoons, toys, etc. Nice antiques, but nothing to do with guns at all. The signs said "Sportsmans Show". Even if you call it that, I would say less than 75% of the show was related to sports in any way. WAY too many vendors of coins, cards, antiques, and miscellaneous other junk.
Oh, and I think I neglected to mention it before. I went there with a large wad of cash in my wallet, looking to buy. I went by the one safe display 5 different times, and made an exaggerated display of looking extremely interested. Could never find anyone working the booth or to offer me any help. Finally gave up and left with no safe. There were 5 safes on display, and a price on only one. But could find nobody to tell me what the other prices were, or to even open them so I could look inside.
And a final note, and farmers, I apologize if this sounds crass....but pig farmers....if you have time to go to the gun show, you have time to take a 10 minute shower and wash the raw pig sh*t off you before coming. I smelled more pig sh*t today than I have in a long time.
