I have decided to shoot single stack this year and need a load to make major power factor. I like to shoot 200gr cast bullets in my RIA 1911. My plinking loads so far have been 200gr cast SWC's and 200gr Bayou lead RN bullets with 5.4gr of Unique. I do not know what they chrony at but probably way to slow. My modern reloaders manual from Lee has 5.4gr as a max load. My Hornady manual has 7.2 gr as a max. I think the Richard Lee manual is a bit off. I also have 1 lb W231 to load with but have not tried it yet. I would like to stay with the Unique because I have like 5lbs of it and use it on my production class 9mm also. Do any of you have a good major PF load for your 1911 that uses 200gr cast bullets and Unique?
Thanks,
Mark
