My workbench 8' x 2' and 34 inches high.

I wanted the reloading bench higher so I can stand when I am working.
I didn't want to have to bend to the side when I pushed the arm down fully on the press.
So I set it at 42" high.

I agree with the higher level, I stand when I reload, makes me alert to what I am doing.

My bench height is about 12', and I use a small extension ladder to reach it.
I find standing on the small rungs make my feet ache so bad I don't notice my backache anymore.
Kidding...

Mine is right about 40" + or - 1/2" or so.
The only time I sit is flipping primers, checking cases, sorting brass.
When actually operating the reloader, I stand.
I am not sure if it makes a difference if its a progressive or single press, one is more laid back than the other.
I kept trying to post a pic of my setup, but it keeps making the photo smaller with a link to larger pic.
I haven't figured out how to post a larger photo yet.

While I am not an expert reloader by any stretch of the imagination, I have been using a standing desk for years now. I cannot stand to sit all day (pun not intended) so I needed to find a way to still tyope effectively. Here is what I have found. Stand next to a wall and have someone measure from the floor to about 2 inches below your elbow. For typing this allows the forearms to maintain a slight downward angle. All of my reloading benches, desks, and workbenches in the garage are at this to-me-specific-height. I keep a taller barstool around in the event I actually want to sit down. Also, a GOOD anti-fatigue mat is very beneficial.

Mine are 43" high so I can comfortably stand or if I ever get a bar stool I can use that...
