L5 Desert Eagle

Postby Mellonhead on Thu Jan 29, 2015 10:36 pm

Anyone get a chance to check out the new version of the Desert eagle that Magnum introduced at the SHOT show? It is a 5" version that they designed this to be under 50 ounces so it can be for sale in New York. There is a couple videos on youtube displaying it.

Just a part of the Kahr booth but did drool and fondle the new line. Lookin good and especially like the brushed stainless with rails.

The 357 Desert Eagle was always sort of a duckbill platypus, as you don't need a 4+ pound gun to shoot a caliber that small. At 50 ounces, it might be interesting, and an alternative to a Coonan. Can't see a 50 DE at this low weight, because with hot loads it would probably feel like a Scandium 357.

The new stainless with the lower rail and integrated muzzle break is really cool. It does sound like they plan making 50AE version of the L5 also.

If you'd like to fondle one of those (the DE50SRMB the lower rail and integral brake), we do have it in stock over at Arnzen: https://secure.arnzenarms.com/product/26620
I love it - looks downright mean!

I like the idea of a .357 magnum.
