But was he professional enough to apologize for the unreasonable cuffing and stuffing? I'm guessing not. Madrevar, it sounds like you handled it well, and overall, the cop was ok...I'm impressed that he admitted his ignorance and I'm certainly not surprised there was no apology over the knee-jerk detainment. If he didn't have his gun pointed at you, then that's a plus as well.
I do think a polite call to the Coon Rapids police chief is in order to politely ask what they teach about the MCPPA and suggest that perhaps some additional discussion with their officers might prevent this from happening again.
